Trout Club is a four-piece rock band formed in Santa Barbara, California by four childhood friends who have known each other for nearly two decades. The group began playing music together in high school just for fun, but it wasn’t until college that they started taking the band more seriously. What started as a scrappy classic rock cover band gradually evolved into an indie rock outfit focused on original music. Quique Hernandez-Black serves as the band’s lead singer and rhythm guitarist, while also contributing violin and banjo. Twins Malcolm and Cedric Bobro provide the rhythmic foundation on bass and drums, respectively. Kai Zheng rounds out the group on lead guitar, keyboards, and occasional vocals. More than just bandmates, the members of Trout Club are lifelong friends who share a deep musical bond and a mutual appreciation for each other’s talents.
