I was born in Los Angeles on July 30th, 1983. My family moved to Northern California and I was raised in Redding, California. I've been singing since I was two and found my way into writing music when I was fifteen. One of my best friends disappeared and was killed when I was a sophomore in High School and it completely changed everything in my life. I found the best outlet for my anger and confusion was through music. I discovered an entirely new form of expression and fell in love with everything about writing. I spent my high school years performing throughout Northern California in various arenas, including the Arco Arena and spent countless hours playing at the many coffee houses in the area. I've lived in Los Angeles for the past five years and am finishing up a degree in music. I've played throughout the Los Angeles area with a band, performing my originals at various places including; Universal Bar and Grill, Hard Rock Cafe, The Viper Room, and Fourteen Below. I've had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe singing and have performed at Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2006. Performing my music is my life and I feel so lucky to be able to do that. My hope is that my music will provoke thought. I think we live in a society where the focus isn't on who we are but what we have. If my songs can make people look inward, I will have succeeded.
