Artist
Trill Walton is a Portland based hip-hop producer that has been making music since 2013. In 2017, Walton released a collaborative album with Detroit rapper Mez-E under the name "H1". This album featured creative contributions from King Los and Jean Deaux. In 2018, Walton changed his name to be more "googleable" to Trill Walton, an homage and reference to the Houston hiphop scene as well as a play on the 1977 Finals MVP for the Portland Trail Blazers, Bill Walton. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Walton and fellow beatmakers, such as JHershey and Pepper Adams, came together for monthly beat tapes under the name We Like Chops. Each month We Like Chops samples a different country in order to give the proceeds back to direct relief charities in those countries. In 2021, Walton announced he would be relasing his debut project under the Trill Walton name: The Gang's All Here. This project will feature frequent collaborators of Walton such as Jay Cinema and Amir Bilal. The project is slated to release in mid 2023through Apollo's Harp.
