Tricia Boutté, aka Tricia "Teedy" Boutte alias Sista Teedy or Tricia -Starshine- Boutte, was the lead vocalist for the reggae band, Cool Riddims & Sista Teedy, which won numerous OffBeat Music Magazine’s the Best of the Beat Awards. Teedy was also recorded by Allen Toussaint both as a solo performer and background singer over many years by the Grammy award winning , rock and roll hall of famer. She was honored via the 2001 Big Easy Award for Best Female Entertainer. Teedy has had the pleasure of being with her latest group Umami when touring Denmark, Finland, and Norway. She also has spent time in the studio or onstage with some of the world’s greatest performers; including Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Aretha Franklin, Irma Thomas, Aaron Neville and Dr. John. She is the niece of jazz vocalist Lillian Boutté and her versatile vocalist uncle John Boutté.
