Tres Chicas was an American alt-country group from Raleigh, North Carolina. When Caitlin Cary (ex-Whiskeytown), Tonya Lamm (ex-Hazeldine) and Lynn Blakey [[artist]Glory Fountain] (died 2026) began singing together in 1999, their first performance was an impromptu singalong at an Alejandro Escovedo show in a Raleigh bar.The trio's name was bestowed upon them by the owner of the bar after the performance. The trio released their first album in 2004 for Yep Roc. Their second album, recorded in London with producers Neil Brockbank and Robert Trehern, was released by Yep Roc in March 2006.
