Travis Wyche is a multimedia artist and musician currently living in Chicago, IL. He is a founding member of the psychedelic-drone-improv band Voices as well as the mid-century minimalism-inspired multi-instrumental project Perpeteia. Having contributed a wide range of aesthetic and conceptual sonic manipulations to those groups, and learned how to build, play, manipulate, and properly record some new instruments in the process, this solo project became a way to solidify ideas and desires that were being lost in the collaborative compromise. Thickly layered superimpositions of fuzz soaked open-tuned guitars, subharmonic bass, and reverb drenched vocal harmonies are off set by spine tickling shakers, ethereal drum machines, rippling tape loops and shimmering oscillator diatribes. Travis is also co-founder of the cassette tape label Sanity Muffin (alongside Christopher Sprague of Tristeza and Billy Sprague aka Galena), currently providing limited edition art-crammed releases for Drape, Odd Nosdam, Voices, and Perpeteia, with planned releases for Galena, Lissom, Tristeza, Port Said, GoG, Kranium, Woo, Hondo, Gears, Maleficia and lots more...
