With the release of his second album No Boundaries, Travis Collins is rapidly becoming one of Australia’s most exciting new talents. The handsome young contemporary country/rock performer is being enthusiastically embraced by a new generation of young country fans as well as lovers of great country music in general. Collins’ first kick-start came back in 2004 when he won the Toyota Star Maker Quest. That competition is widely known for helping launch the professional careers of international sensation Keith Urban as well as the likes of Lee Kernaghan, Gina Jeffreys and James Blundell. Before that, he was a graduate of the prestigious NSW Public Schools Talent Development Program – a program which has also helped launch some pretty significant careers, such as those of Human Nature, Paulini and Hi 5’s Nathan Foley After winning Starmaker, Travis released his first album, Start the Car. The album featured two tracks (‘Start The Car’ and ‘I Was Wrong’) which went to #1 on the Country Music Channel’s Top 30 Countdown - largely due to the huge number of requests from viewers. His most recent single, ‘Full Tank’ also made it into the Top #5 and earned him a Best Male Vocalist nomination at the 2007 Country Music Awards Of Australia (the Golden Guitars) in Tamworth.
