Travis Abercrombie is a modern rock singer/songwriter originally hailing from South Carolina. Travis himself has been performing at various clubs, colleges, and festivals for eight years. He started off his music career at Clemson University, where he co-founded one of South Carolina's most successful college party bands at the time, Seven Miles. The group ended up selling at least 3000 CD's in its career, which left Travis wanting to take his career to the next level. So, after recording a spiritual, debut solo album, Bridges, he decided to pick up and move to Nashville to "stick out" as a rock-pop artist in a predominately country town. After getting to Nashville in 2001, he began playing writer's nights and open mic nights at venues like The Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, and The French Quarter Café among many others. All the while, he continued to write new material and find new connections. Heather Dunn, for example, is an outstanding alt-country singer/songwriter. In fact, the two of them hit it off and began singing out at clubs and co-writing many songs that would end up being on Travis' breakout CD, entitled Spin . Travis knew he needed to get out and start performing live with a full band and building his own buzz. So, the following months after the completion of Spin were spent adding members to Travis' would-be band.
