This ensemble has a very elaborate and obscure history. Having fulfilled multiple tours and shared stages with highly respected acts nationwide, Translator, Traitor has built a receptive, steadfast following since 2001. Born in Indianapolis, our mission statement was to be exceptionally different, unclassifiable and innovative in a world full of typical industry formats. Each member of this group, comprised of four astute gents, lays claim to a very music-oriented development. Despite differing backgrounds, they have combined musical influences to make a style with which, personally, they are pleased. The year was 1999 and Mike Pike (vocals & guitar) and Nathan Cooley (bass) were on the verge of creating the elements of what youre currently reading. From the start they instantly knew what they wanted and maintained a vision for obtaining their idea of success. After several line-up changes, they inherited Matt Johnson (vocals & guitar) from their family of friends. With the addition of Matt they became substantially impassioned, yet they still were missing a vital element. Through friends and fans they stumbled across Josh Sales (drums) and unanimously realized that they had all the principles to create something special. With a complete line-up and an overly fervent attitude, the idea now is to balance the filthiness of life with the perfection of dreams. Translator, Traitor is not set out to change lives or create worlds. They are merely after the unadulterated joy acquired
