1) Trainwreck - Germany (2005-2015) Trainwreck (Aachen, Bremen, Göttingen) were a DIY neocrust/screamo band which consisted of current and former members of Eaves, Glasses, The 244GL and Engrave. They started rehearsing in October 2005. Following that they released a couple of records, their final record being an LP in May 2014. They've played five European, one UK, one Japan and two US tours towards the end of their tenure. Trainwreck's vision of crust was descendant to His Hero Is Gone, something they were never afraid to wear on their sleeves (they even covered the iconic opener 'Like Weeds' on their debut EP) but with a very emotional twist. They mixed crust with the heartfelt expressionism of screamo; as evidenced by their vocals approach, melancholic melodies, desperate and urgent atmosphere and personal lyrics. All these elements made them a neocrust band by definition. They built a balance between heaviness and gloomy sorrow that they used as a tool of creation for both creeping tension and violent release. Simply as emotional as neocrust can get. The band sadly broke up in 2015 after a decade together and a string of releases.
