Experimental improvisational collective from New Jersey which created primitive percussion-based themes using found objects and broken or custom-tuned instruments and improvised upon them for hours. Most of the sessions were recorded. No standard line-up, Tragic Traffic assembled several times between 1982 and 1987, and usually included members of Brain Vacation, Corporate Pigs, Chicken Scratch and The Kises.
