Trading Fate was a Swedish rock/metal band active from 1997-2006 formed in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm. Same suburb that saw Europe raise as world famous superstars. Trading Fate consisted of Erik Hammarbäck (AKA Eek) (lead guitar), Kenny Leckremo (vocals), Jimmy Johansson (bass), Peter Hermansen (rhythm guitar) and Lars Jarkell (AKA Don Crash) (drums). Trading Fate won the prestigious contest Music Direct in 2004. Same year they played at Sweden Rock Festival, one of the world’s most important metal rock festivals. They often played on their local radio station ‘106.7 FM Rockklassiker’. They had a website ‘www.tradingfate.com’ that’s now only accessible through the wayback machine, it was made and maintained by Erik. They released 3 albums with Jimmy as the singer (but there were a few songs before that): The First Demo (2000) Your Own Worst Nightmare (2001) 3 (2001) And 3 albums with Kenny as the singer after he joined in 2003: Demo from Hell (2003) Mojo (2004) Trading Fate (2005) In 2006 they disbanded and all the members (apart from Peter) merged with Kenny’s other band “Dream” to create the band “H.E.A.T” who’s first album features the Trading Fate song “Feel it again” and a few Dream songs.
