Artist
Tracing Ground is the stage alias for teen acoustic singer/songwriter Adam Pettit. Born in Kings Lynn, UK in 1994, Adam's musical interests were relatively noticable early on his life, as his father was a hobby guitarist. After moving to Peterborough, UK in the early 00's, Adam quickly became amazed by the power of music after his family acquired an upright piano for their home. Adam spent many hours experamenting on the family piano despiting having no musical knowledge. It wasn't untill he moved across town, that he soon took a keen interest in learning to play piano properly. Adam soon taught himself proficient piano playing after watching video tutorials on the internet, and later went on learn basic musical theory. It wasn't untill he turned 13 that his musical eye turned to the guitar, after he began sitting in on his friends jamming together with their guitars. After taking lessons on electric and acoustic guitar from 2 different teachers, Adam quickly began making recordings of material spreading a vast range of styles, ranging from metal to acoustic to blues. It wasn't untill he recorded and later released demo versions "Cross My Heart" and "Maybe..." that Adam realized that he had found a different way to channel his emotions, by singing aswell as playing guitar, despite recieving zero vocal coaching. He is now deep into writing, recording and also producing his debut album, set for release mid 2011. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons
