For example, VICTORY POSE is about the joy of beating Mega Man for the first time (without Game Genie), and GREATEST BATTLE ON EARTH is Totally Radd!!’s positive punk rock tune about being a true warrior, fighting for what's right and sticking to your morals… fighting the just fight and never quitting at Street Fighter until you've won. Frontman Neil Schuh first started writing music as a kid when he would make up songs for all of Nintendo games he played, usually singing along to describe his character's immediate predicament in the game. As an extension of this, he was a purist about working with monophony. The simple 1 oscillator synths the band uses on most of the tracks mimic the limitations and characteristics of the NES sound.
