Born January 10, 1955 in Tokyo. Since junior high school and high school, he has been familiar with bossa nova, rock and jazz such as Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66, Doors, Wes Montgomery and John Coltrane. Started jazz piano by self-education around the age of 16. Learned from Sergio Mendes, Bud Powell, Wynton Kelly, Bill Evans, Phineas Newborn, Herbie Hancock and more. Entered a professional in 1974. Since then, he has been active in co-starring and recording with Takashi Mizuhashi, Yoshio Otomo, Osamu Kawakami, Takao Uematsu, Toshio Osumi, George Otsuka, Mabumi Yamaguchi, Miroslav Vitous, Nana Vasconcelos, Steve Grossman, etc. In 1978, released the leader album "Love for Sale" (Osamu Kawakami on bass, Hideo Yamaki on drums).
