Artist
Tony Long was born in Liverpool in 1987. It wasn't until 2005, he settled down into music and began to take it seriously, at school, forming a covers band with fellow classmates, initially without a drummer. In the early stages of Avanti, Tony would play keyboards, often creating new arrangements for pieces more suited to his below average skill level, tending to struggle with more complex and/or multiple instrument voices. After performing at various events with their newly aquired drummer, Tony began learning to play the drums, and Avanti played a handful of gigs around Liverpool, until the group drifted apart around 2006. Tony took up the guitar, in order to be able to record full tracks, bringing his self-taught instrument number to three. With a mash of limited equipment, software and passion for music, Tony has been composing music from all genres. Currently, he is working more closely with orchestral instrument sets, working to create large, bombastic pieces with a dramatic feel.
