Tommie Balans is the weirdo nederpop project by Groningen-based artist Adriaan Bon (aka Constant Mill and Zachte Man), born December 3rd, 1991. The Tommie Balans character was created in September 2023. Balans has a child-like appearance (including two caps worn sideways, the one facing left, the other facing right), and according to the back story, the character suffers from photophobia. Balans' debut single, Mokie, was released through Petrol Candy Records (run by Thor Kissing) on November 24th, 2023. A few months later on the same label, on March 23rd, 2024, Balans' first EP Verzamelberm, got released, exactly ten years after the release of the similarly titled Verzamelterm by the artist's alias Zachte Man, on the Lekker Kut Platenmaatschappij label (run by Bert Scholten).
