Tomas Batista is from Tierra del Fuego, Argentina and his first instrument was the drums at age 12. He later learned guitar and piano, and has been influenced by many musical styles including rock, jazz, blues, funk, classical, indie, hip hop, fusion, and experimental. While he has been involved in several undertakings in the past including the HTML5 multimedia Senses Project and gameplay video soundtracks, his first album proper is Claroscuro released in 2013. The mere eclecticism of this fascinating release qualifies as progressive, and folk seems to be his primary orientation, hence he has joined the prog folk cadre of artists.
