There Are currently two different artists named Tom Rose on this page. This is the biography for the Tom Rose who has released the album The Archaeologist. Tom Rose is employed as a gardener / gravedigger. He lives in a small town in the countryside where he writes songs and plots escape routes. He grew up in the middle of nowhere in a house by a wood. He has also lived by the sea and for a time in a monastery. Tom’s new album The Archaeologist was written and recorded alone in his makeshift studio. Over unusual percussive textures and finely orchestrated melodic arrangements Tom sings songs of love and life and death in the places he grew up. The songs are full of passion and energy, brimming with fascinating imagery and gripping tales. Tom is a songwriter in the vein of such esteemed artists as Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Bob Dylan and The White Stripes.
