Artist
Tom Loffill, is an unsigned, independent solo artist, residing in the murky metropolis of London town. He just recorded an album called 'On the Surface', which contains music you can dance to. Sometimes he smashes up keyboards in fits of ecstatic rage and glory. Here are a list of his influences in strict numeric order: Jonathan Richman, The Velvet Underground, The Fall, Blur, Suicide, Faust, Can, James Brown, Sam Spade, Quick Joe, Riot Coke, Van Dyke Parks, Old Bowing Quiescent, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, Paos Blute, people shouting on buses, gospel music, and all the usual stuff... Strange, perhaps unbelievable though it may sound, he died in 1786. James Robins on Tom Robinson's 'Fresh on the Net' said: "His voice has a great rock nβ roll edge to it, always threatening to tip over the edge into something more sinister." Jon Kelly of Sine FM said the album 'On the Surface' contains "Awesome fuzzy musings & gangly romance. Makes me want to smash things and put them together again."
