Tom was born in Miami, Florida. He grew up in a musical family and began playing and writing songs as a youngster. Proficient on guitar, fiddle and mandolin, Tom has played in countless bands in genres that include Country, Bluegrass, Rock and Pop. Influences were singer songwriters such as James Taylor, Gorden Lightfoot, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, Neil Diamond, and Bluegrass greats like Bill Monroe and The Stanley Brothers, Lester and Earl, The Dillards, Newgrass Revival etc. Country influences include Vince Gill, Steve Wariner, Dwight Yoakem, John Anderson, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Band, Willie, Bob Wills, Asleep at the Wheel and many others.
