From TitussBurgess.com -- Tituss was born and raised in Athens, Georgia where he grew up in the church and sang around the city with his mama (when he is home, he still does!) As an only child, he entertained himself by banging on the nearest piano; perhaps his passion for music and communication came from his need to fill time. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in Music. Until its recently closing in June 2009, he was starring as Nicely Nicely Johnson in the revival of Guys and Dolls on Broadway. Past credits on Broadway: Sebastian the Crab in Disney's The Little Mermaid. Jersey Boys and Good Vibrations. Regionally he was seen in The Wiz (Cowardly Lion, La Jolla), Songs For A New World w/ Jason Robert Brown, Brian D'arcy James and Alice Ripley. Television: “The View,” “The Today Show,” "Good Morning America," “Late Night with David Letterman.” On March 6, 2015, Netflix released the first season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt which stars Burgess in a main role as Titus Andromedon, Kimmy's roommate. Burgess received universal acclaim for his performance, with The New York Times stating that the role was tailor-made for him.[11][12] For his performance in the first season, he received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2015 Critics' Choice Television Awards and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2015 ceremony.[citation needed] In June 2016, Burgess reprised his role of "Sebastian
