Ferran Baucells ( musician) and Itziar Goñi ( musician and artist designer ) are two individuals who share a strong friendship along with their creative talent. Both have been writing, interpreting and recording their own tunes since 2001. Simple and raw tunes collected in several albums where different musicians had contribute to make them real; they are: Miguel Ballester (drums), Jorge Benítez (trumpet), Juan Antonio Guerra (bass), Jordi Ibañez (guitar & voices), Mireia Pascual (voice), Viky Ramírez (voice) and Xavi Serra (bass). They are called “Tired Hippo”, and bring this delicious tunes along with a magnificient design. Tired Hippo has self-released three albums so far: Minor songs (2003) Another side of Tired Hippo (2004) Collage (2007) Tired Hippo are focused as a pop-rock indie band, although a strong but smart Eclecticism can be heard within the repertoire. On December 2007, Tired Hippo releases his most ambitious album called Sweet Après Dinner. Fifteen tunes recorded in S(on)S ( Barcelona ) within two years of accurate sessions in collaboration with mbm studios ( Sant Boi ). Under the direction of tv producer Arnau Vallvé, the album was finally mastered by Ferran Conangla ( who had work with names like Sparklehorse in recording some sessions with PJ Harvey ).
