Tin Omen describe themselves as industrial 'electro rock' but pigeonholing them merely does them a dis-service. With influences ranging from NIN to Kylie Minogue their fan base, which began mainly in the industrial & goth genre's, is rapidly expanding to include music fans from all spheres. Originally formed in 1998 by Bryan Sutton, Bryan's almost dance style tracks, blended with his heavy guitar riffs, saw the band through several line-up changes until they came across Kelly Newton who supplied them with not only the unique and powerful vocal style they needed but also a very emotive lyricist. The band then wrote and gigged around the UK as a duo until long time friend John Baker, bringing a fresh angle on programming as well as being a talented keyboard and guitar player, joined early in 2003 and the band now felt complete. In April 2004 the band gained the expertise of Stan Saunders. who to this day has become an integral part of the live sound, providing them with a consistently excellent level of live production, typically only enjoyed by major label artists, whilst for the release on the bands third Ep, Without System Control, Tin Omen gained yet another expert in his field, Gordon Young, who provided not only a stunning studio mix for the Ep but went on to engineer the bands first full album, Define My Existence, and is currently working with them on the follow up due later this year...watch this space as snippets of new material have already started appearing, in bot
