Tilman Rossmy was born in Essen (Germany) to a chemist (father) and a teacher (mother). His first band Die Regierung, was a one-man project and started in 1982. With „Supermüll“, „So allein“, „Loswerden“ and „Unten“, Der Regierung made notable contibutions to the German language music history. Since the 90s Rossmy has started his solo career making songwriter-influenced alternative Country music. His album „Willkommen zuhause“ with the single „Bodycount T-Shirt“ received critical acclaim in the German version of Rolling Stone magazine. Together with the Hamburg singer, vocalist and all around entertainer Bernd Begemann, Tilman Rossmy has set up a touring group the "Tilman Rossmy Quartett".
