Dave Thomas from BORED! returns with his new band TIGER BY THE TAIL. The first album is selftitled and the band consists out of members of THE SAILORS and JOHNNY CASINO´S EASY ACTION. Taking dues from the BAD SEEDS, THE STOOGES, MUDHONEY, DINOSAUR JR and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE they create a noisy guitar led carnage that is smothered with melody and great songs and an almost contemporary indie-rock sound. Recorded and mixed in 48 hours at the legendary Birdland Studios in Melbourne, TIGER BY THE TAIL rocks so hard they'll knock your head off. Produced by Lindsay Gravina. BAND: - Dave Thomas who dextrously swings his guitar around his neck by the strap whilst screaming; - James Saunders who brutally assaults his guitar; - Michael Evans straps into a low-slung bass and - Daniel Dempster can mostly be found bashing the living shit out of a drum kit. They were all friends, they like to hang out and stuff, watching what goes on out there beyond the bars of their cage. Then one day they find that all their bananas have been taken away. Things changed, things fucked up, instead of staring at the grass and picking their arses, they grab their instruments and go nuts. This way, we have to face a revelation of the Australian scene in the dirtiest and most guitar energy sound.
