Tier’n & Lars are two Bergen-based rappers who first got their shine as parts of the crew Freakshow, appearing on many tracks on their “We are the champions” mixtape. In december 2004 the two debuted as a duo with the mixtape “Frykt og avsky i Bergen”, which featured big Norwegian hip-hop names such as Jørg-1, Kleen Cut, Side Brok and F’em One as well as local heroes such as Vågard & Girson, Freakshow and Han fra soloreklamen som sier boblende fresh. In the autumn in 2005, the two dropped their free mixtape-album “Tilbake til stripa: Forberedelsen”, which can be downloaded for free at www.atpmusic.no. This release is already reckoned by many as a Norwegian hip-hop classic. Currently, Tier’n & Lars works on their official debut album, “Kulturclash”. They have already recorded tracks with among others Jan Eggum, and has a whole city waiting for them. Tier’n & Lars, and their crew ATP (with among others Freakshow and A-Laget), are also the front figures of what’s known in the Norwegian hip-hop community as Bergen’s regional sound.
