Thunderstorms is an instrumental emo/pop punk/indie project from some twinkle daddy named Ben in Ottawa, Canada. It's good. You should listen to it. In case you were wondering, it's instrumental cause the aforementioned "some twinkle daddy" from Ottawa can't really sing. He likes to tell people the music stands on its own without vocals (it doesn't). But he's a nice guy, so we humour him anyway. Thus far, Thunderstorms has released a poorly titled EP called "The Last Level" which came out in December 2010. Another Self-Titled EP was written and recorded a short 6 weeks later. It's slightly poppier and less technical then the previous EP, meaning it should give one ample reason to decry that "It used to be okay (not even good) but ever since that second release he really dropped the ball. Sellout!" Rather than allow any creative energies the time to recharge, Thunderstorms is now in the process of writing and recording a ten song full-length, to be released when it's released. Expect more pretentious song titles, a more sprawling, technical sound (you know, the more pretension the better, really) and MAYBE, MAYBE some singing. Who knows? Oh, and everything Thunderstorms will ever put out will be completely free. But you CAN donate should you so desire, which can only help your karma and ensure the artist has enough money to buy weed and thus continue to make music.
