Thrice Mice was a German jazz/kraut/progressive-rock band, which was founded in 1966 by the brothers Rainer von Gosen and Werner von Gosen and Arno Bredehöft. Linear, melodic rock pieces were enriched with improvising solos, jazz elements, technical effects, complex saxophone duets and big-band-like horn sections. On the first local successes followed an appearance at the legendary Love-and-Peace Festival on Fehmarn in 1970. In 1972 the group disbanded after the resignation of Rainer von Gosen. Werner von Gosen and Karl-Heinz Blumenberg continues the style of Thrice Mice with the group Altona. The only studio album of the group, "Thrice Mice", was published in 1971 on vinyl, and was rereleased on compact disc in 2003 by LongHair.
