Formed in early 2004 by bassist/singer Alex Dancho, guitarist/singer Todd Springer and tenor sax player Evan Sobel, Stratford CT ska band Three Years Accident Free didn't take long to recruit drummer Bob Carroll, guitarist Dave Winchell and alto sax player Dave Holtz to their lineup and hit the local scene. Within months of their arrival, the band had accumulated a healthy following, and after a few add-ons and subtractions, finally settled down to a lineup that added bari sax player Chris Hulton and trumpeter Brian Mariconda to their mix. Known for their punk-heavy breed of ska and energetic live shows, TYAF graced the Connecticut Ska scene for two years, releasing both an EP and a full length album during the time. Their breakup came as members set off to college all over the country, however their influence on the local ska scene has left an imprint that will not be forgotten.
