Thrash Compactor was formed in 2008 in Minneapolis by ex-members of Garmonbozia, In Defence and Pandamonium who wanted to play hardcore punk without restricting themselves to a genre, style or "scene". Thrash Compactors pulls various influences from early American HC/Punk to Thrash and Metal together to make an intense, churning roar of down-tuned guitars, pounding drums and harsh vocals. In the fall of 2008 they self-recorded a demo which the band is distributing themselves in the D.I.Y. tradition of hardcore punk.
