Brian from Thoughtless Action (RIP) here. This is some info i found we posted years ago: Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, comes Thoughtless Action. Fueled by a strong emphasis on vocals, the aggressive stylings of punk, and the techy instrumentation of metal, Thoughtless Action seeks to take a new spin on a dying breed of punk. These members from each coast and somewhere in between, display their passion for playing music through a fast, highly energetic stage show. Thoughtless Action writes their lyrics with the intent of opening eyes and broadening minds, without wasting breath on the less important matters in life. The original roots of Thoughtless Action started in September of 2003 with Matt Faupel on drums, Brian Gillingham on guitar and vocals and Mike Boutin on guitar and vocals. The months passed as the band continually wrote songs and played shows in Calgary and the surrounding area. During this time several temporary bassists came and went, but nothing solid was found. A 5 song demo was recorded in May at "Orbit A studios". This demo helped the band get their name and music out to the listening public and shows started popping up left right and center. In August of 2004, Mike left town for school and a couple months were taken off from playing shows to look for new members. Steve Longfield was found in Septemeber on a local website forum.
