John and Ryan decided to start a band in the summer of 2007, after a couple of years of Ryan dragging his feet (for no good reason). A couple of months into it, Mike volunteered to be the lead singer. John and Ryan were skeptical (because everyone thinks they can sing), so they made Mike go to some karaoke bars in Minneapolis (like U Otter Stop Inn and the amazing Vegas Lounge) to see if he could actually carry a tune. Well it turns out he wasn't lying, so now they had a lead singer. The band was starting to take shape.... Well the 3 of them wanted a very dance oriented (electronic music, industrial, etc) sound, so they decided to purchase a few keyboards. However, someone to play these synths was needed, so they called upon their friend Ariane to fill the void. Once 2008 was in full swing, after nearly a year of bickering, the name "Thought Thieves" was agreed upon for this musical venture. Demo recordings and some lively live gigs followed shortly after..... Now that brings us to the end 2009, as it has been a fe months since our old friend Flem came on board to play the bass as he only can. Plus Thought Thieves released their debut EP "All I Pretend" in April. It is available to purchase on iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, etc. Thought Thieves were also featured on the compilation "Twin Cities Electropunk v5" CD in November 2009. In 2010, the band is looking towards recording a new EP that will due out sometime in the summer. User-contributed text is available
