Artist
Thomas Lindsay was apparently an 'obscure [London] music-shop proprietor rather than by a famous performer' (or composer), but between 1828 and 1830 he produced a work called "Elements of Flute-Playing According to the Most Approved Principles of Modern Fingering" , which 'provided the first synthetic treatment of the flute-playing technique of the 1820s'.
