This Year's Model can refer to two bands. One is an indiepop group signed to Marsh-Marigold Records. This Year's Model is the solo project that never came to be. It started when Niklas Gustafsson was offered a solo deal with legendary independent label Marsh-Marigold. He quickly recorded and released an EP late 2005. But at the time of recording his solo plans had been shelved and replaced by a full band. He has surrounded himself with the best of people he knows: long time friend and musical partner Henric Strömberg, the best and most talented girl in the world Ylva Lindberg, and the man that used to be in the Morons, the highly accomplished Mattias Svensson.
