This Painted Red was a post-hardcore band from Grand Rapids/Rockford, Michigan, United States. Changing is hard and in a world where every band sounds the same, it takes something new and refreshing to stand out. Take a trip to Grand Rapids, MI and you'll find one of the hardest working bands in the local scene. With the release of their EP "My Last Dying Wish" in November of 2004, This Painted Red sent out to make a name for themselves. Combining their members different influences in to one 8 track CD they pushed there way onto the scene and gathered an on going fan base. After numerous shows in the Michigan area, they decided to set out and tour the EP release. In the summer of 2005 they independently self booked their own 40 day national tour. Taking them on a journey that covered half the United States, they showed the country their unique style and powerful stage performance. With passionate lyrics, intense drumming, innovative guitar and heart throbbing bass. Upon returning home to Michigan in July 2005, This Painted Red found their way back into the studio to record the release "The Floor It Fell From". Parting ways from the usual stereotypes of "just another screamo band" the album mixes influences from many genres to create a truly unique sound unlike the rest.
