Born of fire, Therapeutic Chokehold patrols this bleak wasteland protecting ideas of true liberty, freedom, and justice. Using the method of violent pacification, it chokes its opponents into submission; ramming messages of love and understanding down the throats of the infidels, violently. Therapeutic Chokehold hails from Tampa, FL. Friends, Angel Lopez (bass, vocals), and Jeff Fox (guitar, vocals) began the earliest incarnation Therapeutic Chokehold in 2000, with friend, Jason Gervais, on drums. Vinnie Cosentino (drums, backing vocals) joined the band in 2007. He also recorded, and engineered, the debut album, "Get Your Head Right". All artwork, and layout was done by Jeff Fox. It was released in July of 2009, independently, and digitally, through 24 hr Service Station Records. Since then, we have played a slew of shows and released our first music video, "Get Your Head Right."
