Theory in Motion is Danny James and Dillin Quent's original creation born of a passion for sound and a love of performance. They have created a captivating live act filled with driving, energetic music and have future plans for compelling theatrics inspired by the rich visual entertainment of artists like Rabbit in the Moon and Moby. Danny James and Dillin Quent both deliver live drumming, deft turntablism and/or mixing, singing, EQing, and playing the keyboards. Each controls their hardware and software creating a seamless groove to carry the audience through the stories told by the show. In total dedication to their audience, the performance is focused on massive auditory and visual stimulation and satisfaction of the crowd. Danny James has been writing electronic music and DJing since 1997, and has taken classes in both Audio Production and Sound Engineering at the Seattle Art Institute after moving to Northwest from Chicago, IL. Dillin Quent has been DJing since 1997, writing music since 2000, has over 10 years of classical piano training while growing up in Centralia, Wa - and with additional college training in music theory, he continues to bring a technical expertise to the duo. He currently has a thursday night residency at club Contour. Both reside in Seattle, Washington pursueing their dreams in music and performance. In April of 2004, Theory in Motion self-released their first album "Are You Ready?" and sold roughly 750 copies over the following 6 months. Havin
