Thee, Stranded Horse was an acoustic project of French musician Yann Tambour who previously recorded as Encre and now records as Stranded Horse. His songs stop you in your tracks, his subtle yet visionary lyrics all beautifully underpinned by his kora or guitar playing. Rustic and slightly demented he is a gifted young musician with hints of the hypnotic and obsessed Arthur Lee and the sweetness and lightness of touch of a Tim Buckley reverie all given of a bit of a sub-Saharan African feel. Album out on the excellent Blank Tapes.. His 2011 album, "Humbling Tides" was the first to be released under the bandname Stranded Horse.
