Formed by three school friends, Thee Cybermen have been thrashing out their particular melodic brand of Garage rock for 20 years. Influenced by the music of Medway Garage bands like The Milkshakes and The Prisoners they attempted to shake up the local music scene of Shropshire in the early nineties until a tape they had produced using 'ancient Rhino horn technology' found it's way into the hands of Bruce Brand (Drummer with The Milkshakes, Thee Headcoats etc.) This led, in 1994, to their first recording session at the now legendary Toerag studios with Bruce and Liam Watson at the desk. There followed four more sessions, two LPs, numerous EPs and singles, gigs at some of London's lowest lowlights, tours of Holland, a live session on Radio 1 and finally an acrimonious split in 1999. After years of inactivity Thee Cybermen have reconvened to record the odd tune and bash out a blistering live set every 4 months or so, usually in their hometown of Oswestry but further afield if the money is right and the rider is plentiful.
