Thea Sofie Vervik Barka is a Norwegian singer-songwriter hailing from Jørpeland, Rogaland. From a young age, she began her performing career in her hometown. In 2014, she gained national recognition as a contestant in the junior Eurovision Song Contest (Meldodi Grand Prix jr.), where she showcased her own composition, "Jentekveld," on televised broadcasts. Following her participation in the contest, Thea Sofie went on two national tours with MGPjr's Christmas tour in 2015 and 2016, expanding her reach as a performer. On July 10, 2020, she released her single "Dopamine" through Touchdown Music. The song reflects her growth as a vocalist, artist, and individual since her initial release in 2014. "Dopamine" combines timely EDM beats with elements of R&B and pop, creating a captivating musical experience.
