There were multiple groups that recorded as The Zircons. 1. The Zircons were a singing group from East Harlem in the 1950s and 1960s that had a few different line-ups. The original members of the group consisted of Jimmy Gerenetski (lead), Neil Collelo, John Loiacono, Jo Shmo, Ken Pulicino and Donald Lewis. They only made one recording , on MelloMood, Lonely Way / Your Way. 2. The Zircons, a.k.a. The Zirkons , were an acapella vocal quintet from The Bronx, New York. They were active between 1964 - 1967, consisted of Mario Ibañez (lead), Carlos Infante (baritone), Leo Perez (first tenor), Robert McInerny (second tenor) and Barry Zakar (bass). They are mostly remembered for their single "(I Hear) Silver Bells" and "Stormy Weather" (fast version) on their 1966 album, Acappella Session With The Original Zirkons. 3 The Zircons were a Doo-wop - soul vocal quintet from Tennessee, U.S. They started their career as The Capes. After one single, they were renamed The Zircons and were signed at King Records . They released two singles at King Records and then they moved to New York where they released three more singles at Heigh-Ho. In the late 60s they signed at Capitol Records releasing just one single. The three brothers as a sibling trio, without Robert Eppinger and Emmanuel Thompson were renamed The Meadows and released three more singles in 1977 - 1978 at Kayvette Records and an album in 1981 at Radio Records 4.
