Through an innovative blend of double bass, acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica, harmonies and anything else that takes their fancy, The Zetland Players prove that 3 men is enough for a party. Decidedly English yet unafraid of adventure, their constantantly expanding body of original material brings the rich transatlantic traditions of Folk, Pop, Swing and Rock and Roll right up to date. Built upon lucid and wry lyrics the songs are eccentric, catchy and with a swinging beat you could wash clothes to. The Zetland Players' take on Pop is bound to surprise and inevitably entertaining. Formed by Tobias George Silvester (lead vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica) and Wiper (double bass) in 2004, The Zetland Players rocky beginnings included a thieving ex-guitarist, several comically under-attended gigs and a misguided yet magnificent 3 month tour in America. In a bid to take their music to a wider audience, The Zetland Players decamped to North London and enlisted the help of electric guitarist and vocalist Adrian Zookrow in early 2006.
