The Writers came together due to mutual friendships and a common interest in different music styles, in November 2007. Paul and Ian were the initial founders of the then The Cardboard Cut-outs. A few days after, the band had found their bassist, Jack, this was Jacks first time playing bass and proved to be up to the challenge. After finding out that the name, The Cardboard Cut-outs, was already copyrighted, we then went on to come up with another name, thus The Writers where born. After deciding that the songs lacked depth, Jenny joined as another guitarist and proved to be a wise choice. Now a year after, we have successfully recorded our first track, 'Nite Life', with the help of Green Records. We now in the process of planning and working on upcoming gigs that we will be announcing shortly, as well as continuing work on our debut EP 'Eyes Dont Lie'.
