Among humble beginnings and an even more so lineup, The World's First Flying Machine grew as children blossom at the University of Illinois (most members former Allenites). A supergroup in their own write, Ben Campbell, Chris Howaniec, Laura Lynch, Zane Ranney, Brian McGovern, Gautam Srikishan, Katherine Robinson and former Forbidden Parallels member Kurt Werner first gathered in smaller numbers as the brainchild of lead singer Ben Campbell in 2008. Gaining steam playing shows at the Canopy Club, WFFM spread fast eventually expanding their base further north making debuts in Chicago in mid to late 2009. They released their first album entitled, "The House You're Living In" on January 30th, 2010. Current Lineup: Ben Campbell: Acoustic Guitar, Vocals, Banjo. Chris Howaniec: Noise, Backup Vocals.
