Pioneers of soupy rock, silly irreverence, and getting revenge on your internet famous boyfriend: The Wife Guys of Reddit have spent the past couple of years ripping out the pages of the indie rocker handbook and deftly eating them back up. Comprising of the creative quartet of Niamh MacPhail (bass/vocals), Arion Xenos (guitar/vocals), Angus Fernie (keys/vocals), and Elise Atkinson (drums), The Wife Guys attack the absurdity of post-internet life head-on with wonky vocals, manic keys, and riffs galore to boot. The band has been championed by the likes of Radio 6 Music, Radio Scotland, and The Skinny; as well as celebrity ghost-hunter Shane Madej, and comedy darling Josie Long. After forming during the panny d to make a Sufjan Stevens charity cover together, the four-piece decided they would give the old music thing a shot and began writing tunes out of their musty practice space in Glasgow.
