The Walrus uses vocally rich and intricate arrangements, evoking songs by the Beatles, Queen, the Eagles, the B-52s, Kansas, Manhattan Transfer, Traveling Wilburys, Eric Clapton, Jefferson Airplane, CSNY, the Kinks, and Aretha Franklin. All band members sing, enabling the band to perform songs most cover bands would never think of even trying, such as Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." The Walrus has just released its first album of original material, entitled "Uncovered." The Walrus is also a name used by a Hungarian Indie-Rock Band. Originally formed in 2002, in Budapest , then after several changes reforming in 2006 , the band is pursuing its first album and widespread reputation in the Hungarian underground scene. They are currently finalizing their first EP, "Songs of Girls And Serenity". The current lineup is Richard Noel Mayer - guitar, lead vocals, Adam Ilias - bass, Balazs Bako - drums User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
