Artist
The Waking Hour formed in the spring of 2005 under the alias of Acts of Brutality. At the time it was just three guys, Jason Doss(bass), Devin DiPalma(guitar), and Anthony(drums). During the course of the past year, Acts of Brutality played several dozen shows, self recorded a rough EP in the basement of a friends house. This friend, Robbie, ended up hitting off with AOB, and joined as a second guitarist. Since then, AOB has become the Waking Hour, and been infused with a new drive to create the best possible music they can. While their EP has an assorted collection of songs ranging from the more upbeat Life and Times and Petals Fall to the darker and more driven True Horror Story and Least We Can Do, The Waking Hour refuses to be contained in any certain genre. Their new music has been well received at concerts, and they hope to record the new material as soon as possible. Until then, their shows will continue to draw a hefty crowd, consisting of young teens to adults. If you were to ask any of them what The Waking Hour is all about, they would have a very simple answer: The Waking Hour represents Jesus Christ through their music, without shoving it down your throat. And that will continue to be their focus and drive: being the best example of Christ they can be, while playing the music they love. They wouldnt ask for anything more. www.myspace.com/thewakinghourppc User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
