In the early 1970’s moog music became trendy so it was bound to spill over Reggae Music. At Chalk Farm Studios there was the talented Engineer called Ken Elliott who was responsible for Engineering UK recordings & overdubs of JA tracks for Trojan Records. Many of the tracks on the Star Trek album were Leslie Kong and Bunny Lee Productions, although at the time of issue, Star Trek wasn’t as successful as Trojan had hoped. Ken Elliot's follow-up collection, Colonel Elliot & The Lunatics 'Interstellar Reggae Drive', from 1973 is also included on this CD. The original release was a ‘concept album’ with the tracks segued into each other. Also included is the Vulcans “Back A Yard” single. The Vulcans are also an indie folk trio from Mechancisburg, PA. http://www.facebook.com/thevulcans User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
