Artist
The Victor Dimisich Band were a New Zealand lo-fi garage-punk band in the early 80's made up of Stephen Cogle (vocals, bass, music), Peter Stapleton (drums, lyrics), Allen Meek (guitar, organ), Tony O'Grady (guitar) and Mary Heeney (organ) The Victor Dimisich Band's first EP was a ready-made classic on the now defunct Flying Nun label. It is a fearless and inventive display of pounding drums, haunting vocals, jittery guitar strumming and droning organs. They also released Mekong delta blues on Xpressway label in 1988 and a compilation of their songs was later released in 1997 on medication records called My Name Is K.
